The invisible part won't really help, but it's a good stepping stone for now

If anyone were to say that an invisible keyboard would be more trouble than it's worth, they would be right.

That didn't stop Fujitsu researchers from creating one anyway, or something that mimics it. They even made it intangible.

That's just a flower way of saying Fujitsu adjusted gesture and motion tracking though.

In order to provide an alternative to on-screen keyboards, they used the tablet camera to track movements on a desk.

The technology is purely software-based and basically imitates a laser keyboard without the laser. It will need to spend a while to figure out how people type, since everyone has different shaped and colored hands/fingers. After that, though, it supposedly know what letters people are 'hitting” when moving their fingers above the desk/tablet.
