If you are a cyclist or a mountain bike enthusiast and have troubles finding a place where to store your bike, Shelfie might be a good solution for you.

US-based inventor Jurgen Beneke created this bike stand to allow people to exhibit old bikes or collectable frames, show off their hard-earned trophies or to simply help them save space.

According to Gizmag, Shelfie measures 14 x 19 x 11.5 in (35.6 x 48.3 x 29.2 cm), can be attached to any wall and it's suitable for any type of bikes. This, along with the fact that it also offers a storage compartment that measures 9.25 in (23.5 cm) across, makes it particularly useful for a workshop or for people who have different models of bikes.

This innovative shelf for bikes is specifically designed to let the seat take the weight, while also protecting the paint on the top tubes and the cables.

Beneke is currently seeking funds for his project on the crowdfunding website Kickstarter. He is asking for $30,000 (€23,700). If the funding goal is reached, the creator will begin mass production. He plans to launch Shelfie in October 2014.

The inventor promised that your bike would look great hanging from Shelfie.
