It could take up to a day before the service is back online

Popular online password manager Intuitive Password is down for scheduled maintenance and will remain so for the best part of the day.

The service has announced that starting with 8 PM AEST (10 AM GMT), Intuitive Password will not be available for users.

“Intuitive Password just keeps growing! That’s great, but in order to keep up, we’re going to upgrade the servers a bit,” the team behind the service announced in a mail sent out to users.

The maintenance is expected to last for up to 24 hours, which is a rather loose timeline. “You will not be able to connect to Intuitive Password during this time. If you already have Intuitive Password open, you'll be able to continue using it, but you may be logged out due to instability of the servers,” the message reads.

Given the fact that the service deals with the private passwords of its users, including email addresses and even credit card information, it’s possible that it sent out the announcement as a warning to all users so that they don’t panic.

Just last week, Dropbox encountered some issues during maintenance and went offline for several hours, which made hackers claim that they were responsible for the downtime. Of course, this proved to be a hoax. Either way, it’s best when users know what’s going on, especially when it’s a service that deals with such important data.

Intuitive Password allows users to store a wide range of data, including login information, accounts, online wallets, software licenses, identification data and more. The service is optimized to work on desktops, tablets or mobile devices, which means you can easily get access to important data anywhere you have an Internet connection available.

The service also comes with the option to share credentials with friends if you so desire.
