Introversion is announcing that it has entered a partnership with a film production company, called 1066 Productions, and with the television network Channel 4, based in the United Kingdom, to produce a videogame that will be titled Chronometer.

Chris DeLay, lead producer at Introversion, has detailed the process that took them to the production of the title, warning eager players that the game is just in pre-production at this stage and that, as of now, a lot of things depend on Channel 4. Pre-production means that a title is being researched and that various game concepts and mechanics are being tested, while no code is yet written for the game.

As DeLay explains it: "Chronometer document has now expanded into a whole project folder with scripts, pictures, maps, flow charts, production plans, budgets, the whole lot. We've spent a lot of time moving post-it notes around on a giant board, trying to piece together the structure of this new game."

The company is not yet willing to reveal any details regarding the game, with DeLay only saying that it just might be their most ambitious project to date - adding that when co-founder Mark Morris saw the initial concept for the game, he just sat there for a few minutes, gently nodding his head while saying nothing and looking shocked.

Introversion is scheduled to release Multiwinia, a game that takes the basic gameplay of Darwinia, one of its previous titles, and updates it to make sense in an online multiplayer environment. Both of the above mentioned games are set to make their debut on the Xbox Live Arcade sometime during fall, while Multiwinia will also make its way to the PC.

Another project on which the company is currently working is called Subversion, although details regarding it are again pretty much non-existent.

We might have a little preview of Multiwinia up in a short while, just to show you what Introversion has been working on.
