Legend has it the trinut is easier to eat than its one-holed sibling, might one day be crowned the best of desserts

Christopher Freeman, the owner of Dunn's Bakery in North London, UK, without a doubt made desserts history when he created the trinut, basically a donut just like any other but with three holes instead of just one.

Unlike its one-holed predecessor, known to have a mind of its own and constantly fall out of people's hands, the trinut's trio of holes make it easier to eat, Christopher Freeman says.

The trinut's creator says that he designed it to sit perfectly across three fingers. In other words, people are supposed to impale it with their extremities before finally digging into all the deliciousness.

“It’s designed so people can easily fit their fingers in the holes, allowing them to eat round the doughnut and then savor the last piece without it falling out of their hands,” he said in an interview, as cited by Mirror.

Slightly bizarre anatomy aside, Christopher Freeman reassures that trinuts are just as tasty as regular donuts. He knows this because it took him two years to develop the recipe and put a lot of hard work into this project of his.

This new dessert made its public debut during the National Donut Week in London, which ended just yesterday, May 15. Christopher Freeman hopes that, soon enough, he'll make his trinuts available in bakeries across the country.
