Microsoft has quietly revamped the Windows Vista home page over the weekend to prepare for the imminent commercial availability of the operating system. Over the weekend, working toward the consumer release of Windows Vista on January 30, 2007, the operating system's website over at Microsoft got a facelift.

In fact, not only has the Windows Vista homepage been overhauled, but it has also relocated. The default windowsvista.com does not automatically point to the address that hosts the redesigned webpage.

When the page loads, the users are greeted with an animation, complete with audio of the Windows Vista startup. Microsoft has summarized in a few seconds long video the basic characteristics of the operating system. Easier, safer, more entertaining and better connected, these are the features applauded by Microsoft in the opening animation.

Clicking on the realistic Windows Vista logo globe will enable users to get a tour of the new features and capabilities introduced into the operating system. The website also centralizes the resources related to the operating system and delivers a feel of equilibrium.

Users will not only be able to access the highlights of the operating system, but will have available links to shopping destinations and download services that will offer not only Vista but also Vista-related content and applications.

The website's structure has been divided according to the consumer pools. In this context, there are sections dedicated to home users, small business, business, IT professional, Developers and Microsoft Partners. Just get over at the new Windows Vista home page via the link provided herein and have another look at Microsoft's operating system, one day before it will be generally available.
