Ubuntu Binary Clock Lens is a Unity Launcher plugin which displays the current time in a binary format, directly in the Unity Dash. For more details about how a binary clock works, check the Wikipedia article.

To install the Unity Binary Clock Lens plugin in your Ubuntu operating system, open a terminal window (hit the CTRL+ALT+T key combination) and paste the following commands (one by one, hitting Enter after each one): sudo add-apt-repository ppa:markjtully/ppa sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install unity-binaryclock-lens You'll have to restart your session after the installation. Be aware that it is available ONLY for Ubuntu 11.10 (Oneiric Ocelot) and Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin).
