Now that Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) has been released, we are proud to announce today, May 3rd, the immediate availability for download of the GNOME Shell Remix 12.04 Linux operating system.

Ubuntu GNOME Shell Remix 12.04 is build on top of the Precise Pangolin release, but without the Unity interface.

As a desktop environment, the Ubuntu GNOME Shell Remix 12.04 uses the GNOME 3 Shell interface. It features the GNOME 3.4 desktop environment and LightDM as the default login manager.

Be aware that at the moment users of Ubuntu GNOME Shell Remix 11.10 can't upgrade to the 12.04 release. Also, network printer setup in System Settings does not work correctly, as a workaround you can start system-config-printer from ALT+F2 and setup the printer.

Download Ubuntu GNOME Shell Remix 12.04 right now from Softpedia.
