Turing Linux, a small distribution based on the idea of the Universal Turing Machine, by way of VirtualBox, has reached version 0.2 Alpha.
As the name suggests, this Linux distribution celebrates the life and achievements of Alan Turing, the father of computer science.
Turing Linux is based on Debian Squeeze, and for now it uses Fluxbox window manager and SLiM login manager.
It’s available in three different flavors, each one containing evermore increasing features: Core, Basic GUI, Standard, and Enhanced.
Turing Linux Enhanced comes with Google Chrome as the default browser, Thunar as the file manager, Leafpad as the default text editor, and many other utilities.
