Japanese-Swedish mobile phone maker Sony Ericsson has unveiled today the way it plans on changing the way users listen to music: its new MH907 headphones. The most interesting feature of the new headphones is the fact that they are motion activated, and it is the first time in the world that such a product is announced for the market.

According to the joint venture, users will start listening to music simply by putting both earpieces on, and can stop it by removing one of them. The same applies to answering a call or ending it, the company added. The new product sports Sony Ericsson's SensMe Control technology and can provide a clear audio experience to all users out there.

“With the MH907 consumers can pocket their phone but still stay connected all day, every day by simply plugging in or removing their earbuds – there is no need for a remote control or any buttons.” said Jacob Sten, senior vice president, SEMC Accessories. “At Sony Ericsson we think it is very important to listen to what our customer needs and introducing the world’s first ever motion activated headphones highlights our commitment to offer our customers a complete Communications Entertainment experience. The MH907 supports our realigned brand strategy,

which aims to build a fun, playful and inclusive interaction with consumers.”

The new Sony Ericsson MH907 are expected to come to the market in Yellow/White and Titan Chrome. They are 164cm long and weigh 25.32g, and should work with most of the company's handsets, the phone maker adds. Those who would like to learn more on the new headphones should head towards the company's website here, where a “humorous quirky film to demonstrate the product’s unique technology” is available, courtesy of Sony Ericsson's partnership with internationally renowned animator Kristofer Strom. The film shows a character that switches between phone calls and music listening without making too much effort.
