SlimPup, a slim, fast, fully-equipped, and minimalistic Puppy Linux distro, heavily inspired by Crunchbang and Archbang, has just reached version 3.8.

SlimPup 3.8 is based on the Openbox desktop environment and runs using only 35-70mb of RAM and 600Mhz of power.

Highlights of SlimPup 3.8:

• Google Chrome was updated to version 24.0.1312.56; • wifite script was added; • Aircrack-ng script was added; • The Ant extension in Mozilla Firefox was replaced with Videodownloadhelper; • Text color in Rox was white instead of black by default. This problem was fixed. • Pmount has been added to the main menu.

SlimPup is a portable system and changes the live CD/DVD can be saved, allowing users to take their OS with them.
