Intex Technologies announced recently the launch of two new mobile phones that include dual-SIM capabilities, namely the IN 4488 and IN 3080. The new handsets from the company offer mobile phone users the possibility to include two GSM SIM cards inside them while on the go, eliminating the need of carrying around extra devices when more phone numbers are needed.

The first of the new phones, the IN 4488, comes to the market in a clamshell form factor, while the IN 3080 is a sliding device, yet it seems that most of the features of the two are about the same. Even though the handsets are different, they are reportedly able to offer seamless communications capabilities on both SIM cards they can be equipped with.

Intex's IN 4488 comes to the market with Bluetooth connectivity, while also including FM Radio, a photo snapper, music player, storage for up to 800 contacts in the phone book memory, as well as a memory card slot with support for up to 4GB of additional storage space. The device also comes with an English-Hindi-Numeric keypad, and sports a 2.4-inch TFT CCTN display.

IN 3080 comes in a sliding form factor and in three color schemes, namely red, orange and black. The new device seems to be one of the most compact handsets in the dual SIM area, while also sporting USB connectivity, as well as Bluetooth, audio player, FM radio and a photo snapper. No details on the memory capacity are available.

“Seeing the excellent response to the various models of single SIM phones launched earlier, we decided to move up the technology value chain. With the inclusion of the IN 4488 and IN 3080, Intex's dual SIM phones portfolio has 10 variants to offer. The products are already in the pan-India market and have been showing good acceptance,” said Sanjay Kumar, DGM - Telecom, Intex Technologies.

The price tag for the new IN 4488 has been set at Rs. 4,600, while the IN 3080 should cost Rs. 4,200.
