We reported about two weeks ago on the upcoming release of the Intex Aqua i5 Mini, which was spotted on the Indian company’s official website.

Although we thought the affordable smartphone will go on sale within the next few days, it appears that Intex launched the Aqua i5 Mini only today.

According to AndroidOS, those who wish to give it a try will be able to do so for only Rs 6,850 ($115 / €85) outright. It’s also worth mentioning that the smartphone is only available in white color and that Intex offers a free flip cover with the purchase of the device.

Specs-wise, the Aqua i5 Mini is quite decent for a mid-range smartphone. It comes with a 5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports FWVGA (854 x 480 pixels) resolution and an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera.

The affordable smartphone is equipped with a 1.3GHz quad-core processor inside, 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD memory card.

Intex Aqua i5 Mini is powered by Android 4.2 Jeally Bean operating system and features a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, along with a 1500 mAh battery which has yet to be rated by the manufacturer.
