The smartphone will be released in three color versions: Black, Red and Blue

Today, mobile phone maker Intex has officially announced in India another entry- to mid-range smartphone in its Aqua series, namely the Intex Aqua Curve.

Recently, the mobile phone was seen on the company’s official website, which hinted at a near release, but the official announcement came in only today.

Just as the phone’s name suggests, Intex has packed it with a curved touchscreen, in an attempt to provide users with a new experience.

Intex Aqua Curve sports a 5-inch display, capable of delivering a qHD (960 × 540 pixels) resolution and based on One-glass-Solution (OGS), fonearena notes.

Moreover, the mobile phone is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor, which is paired with 1GB of RAM.

The smartphone also includes 4GB of internal memory, along with a microSD memory card slot that enables users to add up to 32GB of external storage to it.

Moreover, the new Intex Aqua Curve arrives on the market with an 8-megapixel camera on the back, with LED flash and auto-focus, as well as with a 2MP front camera that should allow users to make video calls while on the go.

The specifications list of this mobile phone also includes dual-SIM with dual-standby capabilities, as well as support for 3G networks.

Moreover, the handset sports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth with A2DP capabilities, along with a built-in GPS receiver. A 3.5mm audio jack and FM Radio were also included inside it.

Intex Aqua Curve measures 9.1 thick and weighs 152 grams, while being powered by a 2000 mAh battery. The smartphone arrives on the market with Google’s Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system loaded on top.

Intex has launched the new mobile phone in three color versions, namely Black, Red and Blue. It will be available through retailers and Intex channels around the country, with a price tag of Rs. 12,490 ($199/€145) attached.
