Danish indie dev Zero Point Software launched Interstellar Marines on Steam Early Access back in July 2013 and the game received quite a few updates during that time.

With more than 2,500 reviews on Steam, mostly positive, those looking for an old-school tactical FPS that offers both, co-op and competitive multiplayer, as well as single-players gameplay, should be able to take a decision much easier.

But you don’t even have to decide now, as Interstellar Marines is available for free until February 16. Those who think that it’s worth their time after playing it can get it for a 66% off discount.

“Interstellar Marines is at the stage where we want to invite people in to try it out and investigate the universe we are building. Having a free week on Steam ensures we can do that with the widest possible audience.

We’re really proud of how far we’ve reached, and we think Interstellar Marines is at the perfect stage to ask the wider gaming community to come and have a look,” said Kim Haar Jørgensen, creative director of Interstellar Marines.

All expansions and updates will be free of charge to all owners of the base game

On top of that, developers confirmed they would be spending the next months working on a large update to Interstellar Marines. New features, improvements and bug fixes will be implemented in the next major update, but new content might be added too.

It’s also worth mentioning that those who purchase the game in Early Access will also receive any updates and expansion completely free of charge. Obviously, you will also support the development of the game and provide feedback and suggestions to the team.

Aside from Windows, Interstellar Marines is available for Mac and Linux as well. The game is now available for purchase via Steam for only €5.78 until February 16. After that, Interstellar Marines will cost €16.99.
