OneStat.com, a Dutch analysis company, has announced today the current situation on the market
of Internet browsing solutions.
One cannot say that this market has changed significantly compared to previous statistics, Microsoft's browsing solution continuing its downward trend, while Firefox continued to increase.
Globally, Internet Explorer fell between January and May from 85.82 percent to 85.17, the difference being of 0.65 percent.
The OneStat report shows that Mozilla Firefox usage increased by almost the same percent of users as that of those who abandoned Internet Explorer, 0.56 to be more precise.
Apple Safari also recorded an increase, leaping from 1.88 in January to 2.02 percent in May.
Another conclusion reached by OneStat is that in the US and Canada Firefox's market share is higher than in Europe.
"It is interesting to see that global usage share of Mozilla is higher in the USA and Canada as in other countries in the world and that the global usage share of Apple's Safari is still growing," said Niels Brinkman, co-founder of OneStat.com.
