Here is your chance to get an in-depth perspective into the next major version of Internet Explorer, as the browser is currently offered to early adopters and developers as a Platform Preview Build (v1.9.7.7.45.6019). Microsoft watchers already know that the company released the Windows Internet Explorer Platform Preview on the second day of the MIX 10 conference in Las Vegas, the past week. The first public taste of IE9 is not designed for the general public as it lacks basic elements of the UI, security features, and only offers the core of IE and its functionality.

Microsoft discussed Internet Explorer 9 in great detail last week. “We had a great time last week at MIX talking to many of you about IE9. For everyone who wasn’t able to be at the conference, we wanted to let you know that all the sessions are now available on-demand,” Rob Mauceri, IE group program manager, noted. Users were able to watch the keynote of Dean Hachamovitch, IE general manager, live, with the video also being made available on demand.

However, there are additional sessions involving Internet Explorer 9, which only attendants got to see. Until now, that is. Mauceri made available a list with all the sessions focused on IE9 from MIX10, namely In-depth Look at Internet Explorer 9 with John Hrvatin and Ted Johnson, HTML5: High-Performance Best Practices for Web Sites with Jason Weber, HTML5: Cross-Browser Best Practices with Tony Ross, Internet Explorer Developer Tools with Jon Seitel, and Advanced Web Debugging with Fiddler with Eric Lawrence.

You will be able to find all the sessions embedded at the bottom of this article, or watch them on the MIX10 website. More importantly, all the IE9 sessions can be downloaded and viewed locally at your convenience. Of course, IE9 Platform Preview continues to be available for download, and will be updated once every eight weeks, according to Microsoft. Developers should definitely grab the IE9 Platform Preview bits and get a feeling of the IE evolution from Internet Explorer 8.
