Internet Explorer 10 for Windows 7 Preview was officially released a few hours ago and Microsoft continues to praise its new browser, saying that it’s capable to provide the “best way to experience the Web on Windows.”

In other words, this is the best browser for Windows, so you can really forget about Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome. At least, that’s what Microsoft hopes you to do.

“Browser performance is critical for running today’s modern Web sites and applications. IE10 is all around fast, bringing improved hardware acceleration and Chakra JavaScript engine to Windows 7. We continue to focus on improving real world site performance and third party recognition of IE's leadership in this area has been consistent,” Microsoft said in a blog post.

While this is only a preview version of Internet Explorer 10 designed to allow Windows 7 users to get a taste of Microsoft’s latest browser, there’s no word on the final build.

Sources familiar with the matter are hinting that the full version could be unveiled in early 2013, but this mostly depends on the feedback received from Windows 7 consumers.

“IE10 is an entirely new IE. It's fast, fluid and perfect for touch. Try it out for yourself on a Windows 8 device or, if you are a Windows 7 user, download the preview today. We look forward to continued engagement with the developer community and your feedback on Connect,” Rob Mauceri, group program manager, Internet Explorer, said in a statement.

Internet Explorer 10 Release Preview was launched alongside a batch of Patch Tuesday updates aimed not only at the Windows operating system, but also at several other software in Microsoft’s product family. You can read more about this right here.
