Most of the enhancements included in version 6.18 are aimed at Google Chrome users, so make sure you deploy this particular build in case you’re running Google’s own browser.
For example, IDM 6.18 adds a feature to take over HTTPS downloads in Google Chrome and display download options for audio and video files spotted on HTTPS websites loaded in the same browser.
It also fixes problems with downloading videos from several sites and addresses most of the bugs found in older releases.
Of course, the app continues to work flawlessly on basically all Windows versions and seems to run just fine on Windows 8.1 too.
