According to the official release notes, this particular build “redeveloped assembling of video files to improve compatibility with Windows Media player,” which means that the download manager should now work a bit smoother in case you’re using Microsoft’s own multimedia player included in Windows.
Of course, IDM continues to offer support for all Windows versions on the market, and even though no 8.1 support is being offered, this particular edition of the OS works quite fine as well.
