Owners of the LG G2 smartphone should start receiving the Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system as soon as the next week, the latest reports on the matter suggest.

The South Korean version of the mobile phone was reported a few weeks ago to have received the update, but no info on when the international model is slated to taste it was provided at that time.

However, a post on TechManiacs suggests that LG is set to kick off the deployment at MWC 2014 next week.

As PhoneArena notes, LG has already pushed the update to some devices, so as to make sure that it has everything in order for the big push. However, no official confirmation on this has been provided as of now, and we’ll have to wait for the next week to learn specifics on the matter.
