The new information supports previous rumors hinting at Google ditching Samsung

According to a new leaked picture, posted by an alleged employee of UK retailer PCWorld, Google's next-generation Nexus 10 tablet will be manufactured by ASUS and not by Samsung.

The screenshot was posted on Rage06's Twitter and apparently showcases PCWorld's internal inventory system. An entry for “GOOGLE ASUS NEXUS 10” can be spotted bearing a price tag of £349.99 / $564 / €417. Information regarding how much internal storage we're going to see in the device is missing, however.

This isn't the first time we have seen rumors regarding Google changing manufacturing partners for the Nexus 10. Last month Russell Holly of Geek.com, talking to sources familiar with the matter, reported that ASUS was scheduled to take over from Samsung the production of the next-generation 10-inch tablet.

He also added a more exact time frame for its retail availability, claiming the slate will be ready to ship in time for the holiday season.

Nothing is official just yet, so we can't say whether this new information represents reality or not. But considering ASUS was in charge of producing the two Nexus 7 models, we don't see why the partnership between the two companies can't be extended to include Nexus 10 as well.
