Intercooler Cools Down Xbox....For Good

If you are an Xbox 360 owner, you know for sure what a Nyko intercooler is. Yeah, is the thingy that should prevent your machine from blowing up. A lot of controversy has started recently about this device from Nyko, including Microsoft's shy "recommendation" to
all Xbox 360 owners not to use it.

And now, it is time for some more controversy, as Kotaku reports a very peculiar case of a Nyko intercooler causing an Xbox 360 to go bust. They present the story of Ben M. who just got an intercooler installed on his machine and to his disappointment; the device caused more harm than it did good. Ben says that Nyko's little Xbox 360 helper can be a serious fire hazard as it managed to melt one of the power connectors covers of his Xbox 360.

He also mentions that the intercooler is a great idea and that it actually works, but at what cost? I mean, can you play your console without its power connector covers? I suppose it's safe to say that the intercooler cools the Xbox down for good. Maybe Nyko should look into this more carefully and recall the troublemakers. They should also pay for repairs or something (and pigs fly).
