Qplaze has just announced the release of S.T.A.L.K.E.R Mobile, one of the most challenging first person shooters ever designed for handsets. It follows the lines set by the PC game not only in concept, but also in design.

Taking a successful PC game and adapting it for mobile phone use is not an easy thing to do. Expectations are considerably large and there is already a line of gamers who are already accustomed to what the previous, more complex version of the game is capable of doing. Mobile phones allow only what's significant to fit in its lines.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R Mobile brings its player intense fights with bandits, mercenaries and soldiers in Chernobyl regions. What adds to the games' impression of realism is the fact that it uses automatic weapons, suppressors and telescopic sight. The evolved graphics play the greatest role in this, as they greatly come near PC game standards. This is seldom met in mobile games, but also requires considerably high performances coming from the handset's processor.

This is a 3D engine based mobile game which uses Java2ME, which makes it compatible with most of the evolved handsets. Throughout the game, the character can improve on his skills, ranged in accuracy, strength, health and resistance. A final version of the game will also include more characters and several camps to travel between.

Another useful feature about the game is that it also includes a Map of the Zone, which makes it easy to get around the area with the littlest efforts. Moreover, there will also be available some protective equipment and weapons to gain, as well as artifacts which influence the skills of the hero.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R Mobile is planned for a launch sometime in September 2007. Until then, Qplaze is working on ways to improve the story line and performances of the game even more, as to give it all needed resources for being a success.
