14 DAY TRIAL // Are you looking to test drive Intelligent Application Gateway 2007 without having to go through the hassles associated with the deployment process? Then Microsoft has the right download for you. The Redmond company is offering a trial version of Intelligent Application Gateway 2007 packaged as a virtual machine. Customers will be able to run and test IAG 2007 using the hypervisor supplied by the software giant in order to run the VM. This specific IAG 2007 VM is designed to play nice with Windows Server 2008 with Hyper-V or with Microsoft Hyper-V Server 2008.
“Microsoft Whale Communications IAG 2007 Service Pack 2 with Application Optimizers provides SSL VPN, a Web application firewall, and endpoint security management that enable access control, authorization, and content inspection for a wide variety of line-of-business applications,” Microsoft explained, indicating that customers would have to register for the download in order to be permitted access to an activation key for the product.
As is the case with all trial Microsoft software offered for free, the IAG 2007 VM is also time bombed and set to expire on July 13, 2010. However, customers have at their disposal over a year to test the solution in a virtual environment. With the Intelligent Application Gateway, Microsoft is essentially offering a remote access gateway. The solution is tailored to business customers that need to accommodate mobile and remote workers, partners and customers. IAG allows for remote scenarios in which enterprise application can be accessed independent of devices or locations.

IAG SP2 delivers a range of new, important enhancements for customers: 1. Runs as a virtual machine on Hyper-V for low TCO, flexible/secure deployment and simple disaster recovery. 2.
