14 DAY TRIAL // Intel has released the PROSet/Wireless Software and Drivers version 15.6 compatible with Microsoft’s Windows 7 and 8 operating systems, both 32-bit and 64-bit versions.
Each of the Windows variants include four files: two for the driver-only option, and two for the drivers and Intel PROSet/Wireless Software (includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and WiMAX), each compatible with either bit versions.
Also, PROSet/Wireless WiMAX Connection utility enables the Wireless-N + WiMAX 6150 and Advanced-N + WiMAX 6250 Centrino devices, and these packages are targeted at home and business users that don’t need advanced IT administrator tools.
In addition to the previous version, this release supports Intel’s WiFi Link 1000, Centrino Advanced-N (6200 and 6230), and Centrino Wireless-N (100, 1000, 1030, and 130) adapters.
To clarify things, the drivers with software files are “wireless_15.6_32.exe” (32-bit) and “wireless_15.6_64.exe” (64-bit), and the drivers-only packages are “wireless_15.6_De32.exe” / “wireless_15.6_Ds32.exe”(32-bit) and “wireless_15.6_De64.exe” / “wireless_15.6_Ds64.exe” (64-bit).
