Intel's newest chipset has finally arrived, as part of a bunch of motherboards from various hardware makers, and it looks like iBuyPower has now joined other gaming PC makers in adopting said platforms.

Whenever a new generation of motherboards appears, based on the latest chipset from Intel or Advanced Micro Devices, things happen.

Now only do consumers get a new platform to use in their quests to create a PC the way they want, but companies that specialize in custom systems also get new resources.

This time was no different, as CyberPower and Maingear are just two examples of IT players that adopted the new platforms from Gigabyte, MSI, Biostar, etc.

It is iBuyPower that has now chimed in, having presented its own Z68 offer, with systems capable of reaching a price of just $516 under the right circumstances.

The central processing unit options include second-generation Sandy Bridge models from the Core i3, Core i5 and Core i7 series.

Whichever chip is chosen, it can have up to 16 GB of RAM (random access memory) backing it up, as well as an air or water cooling solution to keep it cool.

That said, graphics capabilities can scale very high as well, to the point where two AMD Radeon HD 6990 or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 590 can be set up at once.

Considering that the above are dual-GPU cards, this means quad-GPU scenarios, for truly massive graphics prowess, perfect for multi-monitor scenarios.

What's more, up to 6 TB of HDD storage can be implemented, along with an SSD of up to 64 GB for the Smart Response Technology, which uses the SSD as cache memory, to boost performance. Finally, a power supply of up to 1,500 W keeps everything running.

This page is where prospective buyers need to go if they want to configure and order a system.
