Intel X.Org Driver package, an open source 2D graphics driver for the X Window System as implemented by X.org, has reached version 2.21.4.
Chris Wilson has released yet another version of xf86-video-intel drivers, which features quite some interesting changes.
Highlights of Intel X.Org Driver 2.21.4:
• Honour LinearFramebuffer for clumsy PowerXpress integration; • Disable read-read optimizations of mappings whilst the root cause of a corruption issue remains elusive; • Disable 8-bpp framebuffers in UXA, as the regressions therein remain unfixed; • Restart vertex checks after lock contention; • Handle Screen Pixmap recreation whilst exported via PRIME; • Haswell CRW PCI-IDs have been fixed; • Probe for kernel support of requested Screen depth; • Correct GPU limits for early gen2 and gen3 architectures and prevent an infinite recursion for particular image sizes.
A complete list of changes and improvements can be found in the official announcement.
