Intel has released its lastest version for the USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller driver that they’ve been working on, namely the 1.0.8.251 package. The download record is a zip file compatible only with Microsoft’s Windows 7 and Server 2008 R2 OSes.

The developing team has managed to resolve an issue with the USB 3.0 devices behind a USB 3.0 Hub that would disappear after a system restart, and fix the “Allow this device to wake the computer" option for HID-compliant mice or keyboards, which might have been unchecked in some cases.

This new package installs not only the eXtensible Host Controller driver, but also the Root Hub and Host Controller Switch drivers, as well as the USB 3.0 Monitor.

Moreover, it is compatible with the Intel 7 Series (only with Windows 7) and the C216 Series (both Windows 7 and Server 2008 R2) Chipset Families. A remark must be made, namely that this version does not support Windows XP or Vista, either bit versions.

Now, that being told, follow the link below and download Intel’s latest USB 3.0 driver.
