It really seems that certain retailers simply can't cope with the “heat” emanating from the Sandy Bridge CPUs some of them already have in stock, ready for the January release, since they're starting to make them available for sale a whole lot earlier than supposed, the latest such case occurring in one of the most serious European markets, none other than UK.

As some of you will certainly remember, this is not the first case of the Intel Sandy Bridge CPUs becoming available for sale, the Compuzone store from Malaysia already listing plenty of the new desktop Intel Sandy Bridge CPUs for sale.

However, unlike in the case of the Asian store, where multiple GPUs part numbers and even several compatible motherboards from Asus and Gigabyte were made available, things are quite different in the case of the UK leak.

So, as Fudzilla reports, a store called Oyyy has just made the Intel Core i5-2500K desktop CPU available online, the company claiming that they have only a limited number of parts (262, to be precise) available for sale.

Pricing for each unit has been set at around 188 pounds sterling (292 US dollars), including VAT, which is no pocket change.

To be honest, while the offering is interesting-enough and might actually be genuine (while we're pretty sure UK distributors haven't crossed Intel's embargo, the store might have gotten their hands on the CPUs from some alternate source), there are some serious question marks, which should have you thinking twice before actually purchasing such a product (if you live in the UK, of course).

For example, the fact that only a single part number is available, and in very limited release, is not exactly reassuring, and the same goes for the store's overall reviews (rather mixed, with plenty of negative ones as well).

Anyway, if you happen to go for Oyyy's offering, please, don't hesitate to drop a line and let us know just how things went.
