Intel has made available a new version of its Iris and HD Graphics driver, namely build 3907, which includes a large number of changes that significantly increase overall performance and stability for several games.

Specifically speaking, the new release improves gameplay for titles such as Batman: Arkham City (10%), Brink (12%), Doom 3: BFG Edition (84%), F1 2012 (8%), Hitman: Absolution (10%), and Sleeping Dogs (11%).

In addition to that, games like Battlefield 4, Civilization V, Deus Ex, Metro 2033, Rage, Skyrim: The Elder Scrolls, and Sniper Elite 2 benefit from a FPS gain between 3 and 7%.

If version 10.18.10.3907 is applied, the system will receive OpenCL applications performance improvements (30%), increased battery life, and control panel enhancements for media and display features, and the issue with NUCs where playback would slow down is now resolved.

Moreover, the new update adds several OpenGL, OpenCL, and 3D improvements, OpenGL extensions, as well as numerous enhancements for gaming applications. Make sure to check the description page of each download to view the full release notes of this new build.

When it comes to compatibility, Intel’s package is suitable for both 32- and 64-bit variants of Microsoft’s Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 platforms and can be applied on systems containing a 4th-generation Core CPU with HD 4200, 4400, 4600, 5000, Iris 5100, and Iris Pro 5200 graphics chipset.
