The company hopes to make mini PCs more popular through this

Besides the occasional miniature personal computer, like ZOTAC ZBOX Nano Mini PC, and some HTPCs, there are few successful mini-ITX or smaller computers out there.

Mostly it's owed to the fact that most PC components are made in bulk and too large for the cases.

Still, now that CPUs are turning into SoCs and motherboards are losing relevance, it's easier to make them.

Intel seems particularly interested in ensuring the success of small PCs, especially thin ones.

That is why, according to a roadmap published by MyCE website, it means to ship thin-ITX platforms with custom coolers.

Since custom-made components are the only way to make super-small PCs, there isn't much choice really.

The first will be called HTS1155LP and is, for now, compatible with the Intel DH61AG mainboard as well as all thin mini-ITX H6x-based mainboards.

It has a small heatsink of 264 grams (0.58 pounds), and a fan with a speed of 1180 – 3380 RPM (4-pin connector).

Intel didn't confirm nor deny this leak.
