The chip will be an ultra low voltage CPU meant for entry-level laptops

Intel's latest roadmap has made its way to the Internet, allowing us to finally see how all those recent changes have transformed it.

I've already reported on the upcoming Merrifield tablet/smartphone processors, but those are not the only chips that Intel is preparing for the mobile market.

Indeed, while they are the only SoCs (system-on-chip devices) coming out in the near future, Intel is also preparing a refresh of the Bay Trail-M CPU series, for entry-level laptops (netbooks) and other mobile gadgets.

Those chips, however, or that chip if it turns out that only one is approaching, will only make it to market in March. And one month after that will come the desktop/notebook chips.

Following the April release of the Haswell refresh, there will be a period of quiet until August/September. But more on that later.
