Intel has just made available a new Ethernet driver developed for several of its network controllers, adapters, and connections, namely version 19.1.

This newly released package is compatible with both 32- and 64-bit variants of Microsoft’s Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 operating systems, as well as with the Sever 2008 R2, 2012, and 2012 R2 platforms.

Besides the base drivers, version 19.1 also installs the PROSet/Wireless Software for Windows Device Manager, includes advanced networking services for teaming and VLANs (ANS), as well as SNMP for Intel’s targeted network adapters.

In addition to that, you should also know that each Server-compatible package includes virtual function drivers that support the OS as a guest in hypervisors.

As for the compatible components, each of the aforementioned OSes supports specific hardware; thus, it would be best if you checked the full list in the description page of each download record and ensured your system configuration is suitable for the release.

When it comes to applying the new version, simply get and run the downloadable .exe file and follow the on-screen instructions for a complete and successful installation. Also, don’t forget to perform a system restart to make sure that all changes take effect properly.

That being said, if you consider upgrading to this version, download Intel Network Adapter Driver 19.1 suitable for your OS and bit variant, take into account all above-mentioned aspects, and upgrade your network adapter.
