Intel has unveiled the 10.18.10.3960 graphics driver, which adds compatibility with the new Core M CPU with HD Graphics 5300 and continues to provide maximum performance for the already supported CPUs with Intel HD, Iris, and Iris Pro Graphics.

Specifically speaking, build 3960 can be used along with the producer’s 4th and 5th-gen Core processors, as well as with the Celeron (1000, and 2000 Series) and Pentium (3000, G3000 Series) CPUs – the full compatibility list is available on the Intel Graphics 10.18.10.3960 description page.

As for the supported operating systems, this new release is compatible with computers that include one of the suitable CPUs, and which are powered by one of Microsoft’s Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 platforms.

When it comes to changes, Intel’s update enhances Frame Rate Conversion, reduces  total file size of the driver, and fixes several corruptions for games such as SimCity, Minecraft, Splinter Cell: Blacklist, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Max Payne 3, Dota 2, and others.

In addition to that, with build 3960, Anisotropic Filtering will work properly with all DirectX9, DirectX10, and DirectX11 apps, and CMAA won’t have any problems regarding OpenGL applications.

Moreover, memory sharing between OpenCL, OpenGL, and DirectX will be possible thanks to OpenCL “extension cl_intel_simultaneous_sharing,” significant performance improvements are visible with benchmarking apps, and a slew of fixes (most of them for Windows 8.1) are added.

Therefore, download Intel Iris/HD Graphics Driver 10.18.10.3960, check the full release notes, and apply the latest graphics update on your system in order to benefit from all these improvements.
