Intel has unveiled a new LAN driver developed for its Next Unit Computing (NUC) devices, namely version 18.8 of the Gigabit Ethernet controller driver, which might improve the compatible device’s performance and stability.

This fresh release consists of several download records, each compatible with one of the 32- or 64-bit versions of Microsoft’s Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 operating systems.

As for the compatible devices, Intel’s new update installs the LAN driver for the Gigabit Ethernet controllers that can be found in the D33217GKE, D34010WYB, D53427RKE, D54250WYB, as well as the DCP847SKE NUC boards.

In addition to that, the adapters used by the D34010WYK, D54250WYK, DC3217IYE, DC53427HYE, and DCCP847DYE Next Unit Computing kits are also compatible with this driver variant.

When it comes to applying the package, the process is very simple – just get the proper file for your OS and bit architecture, run the file so that it extracts all it needs for a complete installation, and follow the on-screen instructions.

That being said, download Gigabit Ethernet Controller Driver 18.8 for Intel NUC, make sure you have understood all the above-described aspects, install the proper package for your system, and stay “updated one minute ago.”
