Intel has released a new package, namely the 15.31.3.3071 (for x86) and 15.31.3.64.3071 (for x64) versions, that will replace the previous 3062 build version. The new driver is compatible with both bit variants of Microsoft’s Windows 7 and 8 operating systems.

Intel’s new version will fix the background problem for Human Revolution that turned into a solid color, the issue with Hydrangia test in CLBenchmark, and the benchmark crash with Metro 2033 when using DirectX 11.

Moreover, Cyberlink PowerDirector 10 doesn’t stall no more, and Max Payne 3, Portal 2, Shogun 2, as well as FarCry games have workarounds for minor artifacts that would appear during gameplay.

But those aren’t the only games tweaked. Games like Batman: Arkham Asylum (7%), Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty – Outlaws (22%), Oil Rush (DirectX 9 -100% / DirectX 11 - 9%), and Dragon Age 2 – Intro Fight Scene Gameplay (87%) have been improved as well.

In addition, the package adds support for OpenCL 1.2 and Quick Sync Video, and improves interoperability between media and graphics APIs implemented with OpenCL 1.2.

Besides the Graphics driver, the package installs the Display Audio and OpenCL drivers, as well as the Media SDK Runtime and the Control Panel. And just like the previous versions, applications like 3DMark11, Mafia 2, HomeFront, and a few others must be updated so that unexpected issues are avoided.
