The Core i5 and Core i7 CPUs have emerged at online etailer taobao

Intel hasn't formally introduced its Haswell collection of central processing units, and doesn't plan to do it until next month, June 2013. Yet this was not enough to prevent the chips from selling early.

It's the Chinese that have jumped the gun, or rather Chinese online etailer taobao. The desktop Haswell central processing units can be found up for sale there.

That includes the Core i7-4770K, Core i7-4770, Core i5-4670K, Core i5-4570, Core i5-4430. Basically the whole set.

First off, the Core i7-4770 is a quad-core with 8 threads (Hyper Threading), 8 MB cache memory, HD 4600 integrated graphics and a memory controller with 1200 MHz support.

It has a TDP (thermal design power) of 84W and a price of $292 / €224-292.

Many of those traits are shared by all the other processors, specifically the integrated graphics chip (iGP), the memory controller and the core count. That still leaves a lot of room for variety though.

The Core i7-4770K bears the closest resemblance really, as it operates at 3.5 / 3.9 GHz and has a price of $327 / €251-327, but is otherwise the same.

Core i7-4770S is, again, similar to the first chip, but has a TDP of 65W, 3.1 / 3.9 frequency and $285 / €219-285.

The fourth processor in the list is the Core i5-4670, a quad-core with no Hyper Threading. It also has 6 MB cache. Its speed is 3.4 GHz / 3.8 GHz, while the TDP is 84W and the price $209 / €160-209.

That leaves the Core i5-4570 (identical to above, but 3.2 / 3.6 GHz, 1,150 MHz memory, $189 / €145-189) and the Core i5-4570S (like i5-4570, but 3.0 / 3.6 GHz speed and 65W TDP, $182 / €140-182 price).

Finally, the Core i5-4430 is sold for $175 / €134-175. It is the weakest, with 4 cores, 6 MB cache, 1,100 MHz memory, and 84W TDP.
