It's a bit early, but not really surprising given IT history

Intel's Haswell central processing units are already up for sale, according to the folks at CPU World website, who have rather thoroughly looked through online stores, even finding out something unexpected.

And by something unexpected, I mean to say that a certain accelerated processing unit (APU) from Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) is also on order.

Said APU is called A8-6600K and has a tag of $119 / €119.

As for the Haswell chips, they are the Core i7-4770, i7-4770S, i5-4670, i5-4570, i5-4570S and i5-4430.

Compared to their Ivy Bridge predecessors, they are, on average, $30 / €30 more expensive. The smallest difference is of $9 / €9 (i5-4570S vs. i5-3470S), while the biggest is of $53 / €53 (i7-4770 vs. i7-3770).

Rakuten has the lowest prices at the moment (former buy.com).
