Despite early sales, the corporation is holding off until Computex

I've been saying, for months now, that Intel plans to officially launch its fourth generation of central processing units in June. And I'm not the only one.

Now we have the clear-cut, official announcement saying precisely when it will happen: June 4.

True, Intel writes in its latest press note that it will release the CPU line at Computex 2013, which will take place from June 4 to 8.

Given past trade shows, however, I am quite certain the launch will happen at the earliest possible time. We may even see early shots of the chips, and supporting motherboards or laptops, before the show even starts.

Some may say it's unfortunate that the world still has to wait so long.

Of course, that doesn't go for the Chinese. The Haswell desktop CPUs are already for sale there, shockingly enough.
