The Intel Graphics Installer for Linux, a tool that allows users to easily install the latest graphics and video drivers for your Intel graphics hardware, has reached version 1.0.5 and is now available for download.

The installer is a very handy tool that is unique to the Intel platform. All the other developers from NVIDIA and AMD don’t even dream of providing a proper installer, but somehow the Intel dev managed to make this a reality.

“The Intel Graphics allows you to stay current with the latest enhancements, optimizations, and fixes to the Intel Graphics Stack to ensure the best user experience with your Intel graphics hardware. The Intel Graphics Installer for Linux is available for the latest versions of Ubuntu and Fedora,” reads the official announcement.

This is a rather limited release and the developers only implemented support for Fedora 20, which is long overdue, and Ubuntu 14.04 LTS, which has made available just a few weeks ago. Given the success of Ubuntu 14.04. the Intel developers should have upgraded this tool a long time ago, but it’s better late than never.

More details about Intel Graphics Installer for Linux can be found on the official website. The latest version of the Intel Graphics Installer, 1.0.5, can be downloaded from Softpedia.
