The rivalry between Intel and Qualcomm is likely to become much more serious than what has been going on between the blue giant and the green team from AMD. In an attempt to make itself more visible and likely to project an image of power and mass, Intel brought a branded truck in front of Qualcomm’s UpLink conference.

It all reportedly happened in San Diego, and Theo Valich from brightsideofnews.com has managed to snap some pictures of Intel’s stunt.

Intel is clearly desperate to enter the smartphone and tablet market, as powerful smartphones and tablets now cost more than medium computers or laptops, while most people are not getting any richer.

The time when a tech user has to choose between spending $400 on a cheap computer or on a smartphone is already here, and Intel has nothing to show for in the smartphone market.

The biggest problem Intel has is that while Qualcomm’s processors are getting faster and leaner, Intel’s x86 Atom is simply too slow and not lean enough to make an impact.
