The popular Shift and F131 get the Sandy Bridge-E Upgrade

With Sandy Bridge-E becoming official, system builder are now racing to upgrade their desktops to the new processors, so Maingear couldn't pass this opportunity to introduced the Core i7-3960X and Core i7-3930K into their systems.

Both of these processors are targeting the enthusiast crowd and come featuring no less than six computing cores with Hyper-Threading support.

Just as its name implies, the Core i7-3960X comes as the faster option as it sports 15MB of Level 3 cache, and a 3.3GHz base clock speed (3.9MHz maximum Turbo), but the i7-3930K is no slouch either coming with 12MB of L3 cache and a 3.2GHz base frequency (3.8GHz Turbo).

In Maingear's desktops, Intel's processors can be paired with a maximum of 32GB of DDR3-1866 memory, various AMD and Nvidia graphics cards standalone or configured in CrossFireX or SLI, as well as with up to six hard drives or SSDs.

All these are powered by high-end power supplies with ratings up to 1,500W and assembled in Maingear's unique Shift or F131 chassis, which are available in an assortment of colors.

The desktops can already be configured with Intel's new CPUs and prices start at $1823.00 (roughly 1,325 EUR) for the F131, while the Shift has a starting price of $2687.00 (1,953.5 EUR).
