It should be launched on June 3 along with some others

Intel only has quad-core Ivy Bridge central processing units on sale right now, but that will change next month, when some dual-core CPUs are introduced.

So far, the web has learned about five different mobile dual-core models, from leaks, laptop specification sheets, etc.

The SKU we're going to look at here is called Core i5-3210M and features 3 MB of L3 cache memory, a base clock frequency of 2.5 GHz and a Turbo Boost speed of 3.1 GHz (probably).

Some Acer, Samsung, Fujitsu and MSI laptops are bound to feature this chip as the primary building block. We'll have to wait for those products to appear before we can be sure though.

Back to the specs of the dual-core: the i5-3210M, like Ivy Bridge CPUs are wont, boasts the integrated HD 4000 graphics (650 MHz / 1.1 GHz Turbo Boost).

All the above run on 35W of power, which is about what we expected from a notebook processor.

If you like to roam online retailers, you might get lucky and find pre-order possibilities, for $234. June 3 is when sales of laptops based on it should commence.
