Germany-based Cizmo has announced that it would launch an Intel Centrino 2-based gaming laptop this summer; it will be known as CX1730M. Mobile gamers should have a hot product coming in stores for them, as Cizmo CX1730M is powered up by an Extreme X9100 mobile processor.

Intel's Extreme X9100 processor is included in the newest series of Centrino 2 Montevina mobile processors developed by the company. The series is announced to be launched on July 14. Extreme X9100 is an evolutionary step for Intel, as it represents the first Penryn-class mobile processor to have the core clock set over the 3.0GHz barrier.

The Cizmo CX1730M is a 17-inch mobile PC that enables users to configure it with an Intel X9100 Extreme processor running at 3.06GHz. The best news for is that the Intel X-class mobile processors have been developed to allow overclocking. More power becomes available with the support for Nvidia GeForce 8800M GTX graphics chip the CX1730M comes with.

The latest Cizmo mobile PC also supports the new DDR3 standard memory, allowing users to couple Intel's faster 1066MHz front-side bus with DDR3 SDRAM memory modules, and providing more enhanced performance this way. The current front-side-bus available on Intel's processors is set at 800MHz.

CX1730M also features Intel's newest PM45 chipset. It is included in the latest announced Intel products, and it is designed for discrete (standalone) graphics chips. Along with it, Intel has also announced the GM version, which would arrive somewhere in August, a little later than PM.

Other specifications for CX1730M include an Intel Turbo Memory Module which, according to Intel, is a flash-memory-based technology designed to speed up boot time and application loading. The Centrino 2 platform features the Robson 2.0, a second generation Turbo memory technology.

Cizmo lists some other Intel processors as well, including P8400, P8600, P9500, and T9600. All processors are expected to hit the market on July 14.
