The revelation made by Intel's CEO hasn't been taken that badly

The other day, I covered a rather off-putting revelation about Intel's next line of Core-series CPUs, the fifth generation Broadwell. Now I get to see the fallout.

And there actually isn't any fallout. It looks like the delay of Broadwell to 2014 might actually be a good thing.

Previously, Broadwell was supposed to debut before the end of 2013, even though Haswell, Gen. 4, only came out earlier this year.

With the delay, PC makers (desktop and notebook alike) will be able to properly pass from Ivy Bridge to Haswell. They will also not need to start price cuts early, and will have three more months to digest inventories of older PCs.

Sure, these benefits come at the cost of a lower chance for Intel to push 14nm CPUs on the mobile market in time, but at least the notebook segment won't be affected much.
