McAfee, one of the largest dedicated security technology companies, and CommVault, a well-known Singular Information Management solutions developer, have joined hands in producing a product meant to revolutionize the world of secure management. The two have announced the launch of integrated data and security management features utilizing their respective data management, backup and security solutions.

Integrated solutions are well-known for the improvement that they bring to a company's management, and are responsible for the amelioration of department communication and response time. These improvements lead to a better company management and, on the whole, a more competitive corporation.

McAfee and CommVault intend to put on the market an integrated enterprise solution designed to manage security, including data and network protection, and which comes to reduce a company’s costs and also make threat protection and compliance management better.

"There’s never been a more challenging economic and regulatory environment. IT and legal need to work hand-in-glove to provide insight into real-time vulnerabilities while minimizing business level risks," said David West, vice president of marketing and business development, CommVault.

This integrated solution will be possible by combining CommVault Simpana enterprise data management software with McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator, thus creating a platform that will offer a better management of data security. Also, the fact that CommVault offers a built-in connector will give users the possibility to gather all the information concerning backup and administrators the opportunity to supervise any number of systems at any given moment.

Dave Scholtz, senior vice president of worldwide partner alliances at McAfee, stated, "McAfee is committed to delivering administrators the information they need to make the most informed decisions when it comes to addressing both their data protection and security needs."

In order to be able to satisfy as many customers as possible and to establish a strong position on the market both companies will join their sales teams. This will bring great benefits both to the two parties but also to the existing and future clients because communication with the sales team will improve.
