14 DAY TRIAL // Allstate, one of the largest publicly held personal lines insurer in US, recently announced the launch of its new application called Allstate Mobile. While the software is fully compatible with iPhone and Blackberry smartphones, there's no word about a future Android version yet.
Allstate Mobile targets the company's customers bringing friendly features and an easy to use interface. The application allows users to pay their bill, view policy information, initiate a claim, or find an agent using their mobile device when they're on the go.
"Allstate wants to make it easy to do business with us," said Bob Wasserman, Allstate's vice president of eBusiness. "We're committed to delivering products, services and tools that customers value by extending the protection Allstate offers to new places in new ways. Allstate Mobile is an important step toward these goals."
According to Allstate, part of the application's features were included at the request of customers, thus accentuating the company's communication with its clients, as well as the feedback received.
Some of the key features of the application include: Policy information - including policy numbers, coverage dates and agent contact information; Pay your bill – convenient on-the-go account management options; Start a claim – begin the reporting process for filing a claim; Agent locator - find Allstate agencies nearby; Accident toolkit - use to capture relevant information after an accident.
"We want people to have the same experience whether they use Allstate Mobile, contact their Allstate agent, call 1-800-ALLSTATE or visit Allstate.com" Wasserman said. "Allstate Mobile is another way customers can take care of their insurance needs in the way that's easiest for them."
The company also stated that intends to add new features and functionality for Allstate Mobile later this summer and early fall. Allstar Mobile is now available from AppStore and can be downloaded at no expense.
