Installing Windows Vista RTM on Virtual PC 2007 Beta is as easy as click, next and finish in no more than eleven steps. First off introduce the Vista disk in the DVD. Now, provided you have Virtual PC 2007 Beta installed, just launch the VM. Otherwise, install Virtual PC 2007 Beta and then put in the Vista DVD.

Create a Windows Vista VM and allocate a decent amount of RAM to it. Go for 1 GB but no less than 512 MB. Now go ahead and boot from DVD. Deal with the regional settings and click next. Enter the product key and select the disk. Oh, yeah, hitting OK may also help right about now.

The machine will reboot. Regional settings again followed by a performance check. The installation will move to preparing the desktop, this will take a little more time, so you will need to exercise your patience. About one hour and fifteen minutes since you've started you'll be able to see the Windows Vista desktop. Now go ahead and install the VM additions.

From start to finish, installing Windows Vista on a 32-bit machine takes approximately one and a half hours. I hope you at least got an idea of what the process feels like until you will be able to try it out for yourselves.
