“The Instagram app and its features will stay the same one you know and love”

Even though Instagram is now officially a Facebook asset, you’ll still be able to use the standalone app to snap photos of your cat and upload them for your followers to see, just like before.

The Instagram iOS application isn’t going anywhere, according to the team behind the popular instant-photography service.

After Facebook confirmed the closed deal, The Instagram Team said, “While our team is making the short move to the Facebook offices, Instagram isn’t going anywhere.”

“The Instagram app and its features will stay the same one you know and love, and we’ll keep working together to build a better Instagram for everyone,” the company confirmed.

This, of course, doesn’t mean things will stay like this forever. There’s a good chance Facebook will retool Instagram in the near future, taking out some features while adding new ones. But for now, you can just keep taking photos of your favorite plates for the entire world to see.
